More on McAllen

Now that most of America has become acquainted with McAllen, TX (population 106,414 in 2000), due to it’s uncommonly high per person healthcare costs, The Health Care Blog (THCB) provided an interesting perspective in their July 22 posting – “Return to McAllen: A Father-Son Interview.”

In an interview with a former McAllen practitioner, the interviewer (also the practitioner’s son) explains how the healthcare landscape changed during his years in McAllen. While one can’t seem to turn on a television station, open a magazine or scan a newspaper without encountering the latest healthcare headline, Dr. David Kibbe and Ian Kibbe provide a reflective and poignant perspective on life in McAllen in different days.
